Description
In winter Lake Michigan is covered with ice and snow almost as far as the eye can see. The fifty-foot Kenosha North Pier Light, built in 1906, is seen here. It was considered excess by the Coast Guard in 2008 and is currently being used as an art studio and gallery. Kenosha, Wisconsin. Copyright 2016 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Many thanks, Kevin. It was cold that winter day, and the wind was fierce. When I got back to Chicago, about an hour's drive, I heard that the winds had been as high as 70 mph. No wonder it had been hard to stand!

This is a gorgeous lighthouse and a marvellous image with fantastic composition!! what a place to be an art gallery!! i would totally move in and take it as my home if the art gallery didn't take over it!! that's how much i feel belong to a lighthouse!! :D L/F
