Description
Founded by Henry I in 1121, the Abbey of Reading, England was destroyed during the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII in 1538. Now largely reduced to a few walls and flint rubble, it can be accessed from Forbury Gardens in the center of the city of Reading. Copyright 2009 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
