Description
Inscribed above the antique keyboard of the parlor organ in the Point Betsie Lighthouse museum in northern lower Michigan is the name of the manufacturer of the instrument: Beethoven Organ Co. Washington. N.J. U.S.A. Also noted is that this pump organ, built in the late19th and early 20th centuries, is a Golden Toned model. The title of the music on display is Coast Guard Forever, an interesting choice in light of the fact that the lighthouse is located on a strategic point on the dunes of Lake Michigan.
