Description
This architectural abstract of the Milwaukee Art Museum shows a portion of the supporting structure of one wing of the Burke Brise Soleil, a moveable sunscreen with a total wingspan of 217 feet. It folds over the spacious Windhover Hall at night and during inclement weather. The Quadracci Pavilion, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, was opened in 2001 as an addition to an existing building on Lake Michigan, which still houses the majority of the permanent collection. Its artful exterior and interior are equally fascinating. Copyright 2011 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

Very pretty, Ann. The blues and whites look so wonderful together, and I love the lines.
