Description
Framlingham Castle in Suffolk, England dates from the late 12th century and consists of a high circular curtain wall and thirteen tall towers constructed of flint, which once provided defense for the domestic buildings inside the wall. The ornate brick Tudor chimneys were added later, as were a prison outside the wall and a poorhouse within. From the top of the wall one will see the colorful roof of the brick poorhouse, which now serves as museum, gift shop and entrance to the wall walk, and view the interior of the castle and the surrounding countryside.
