Description
The Scott Fountain on Belle Isle, the large island park located in the Detroit River, is making quite a splash with Detroiters now that is has been restored to its former grandeur. Belle Isle recently has become a Michigan State Park. On this sunny summer day the young mother in the photo is telling her daughter about the fountain and pointing out its features. The woman had a few minutes earlier told me that her own mother had brought her to see this fountain when she was a child. I told her that mine had done the same, a long time ago. Detroit, Michigan. As a child, I visited Detroit quite often and have seen many of the sites you have in your Detroit gallery. However I can see that I missed out on Belle Isle! This makes me wish I had been fortuenate enough to have visited there. FAV of this viewer.
