Description
The Ceylon Covered Bridge, built in 1860, crosses the Wabash River near Geneva, Indiana. (And yes, the river is really very green.) Of the 23 covered bridges known to have crossed the Wabash River, this is the last still standing. It is 126 feet long or 140 if the seven foot overhang at each end is included, and it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Copyright 2008 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Ceylon is an island to the south-east of India and separated from it only by a chain of reefs and sand-banks called Adam's Bridge.
