It is one of a series of paintings, entitled "Water Lilies," on which the artist worked from 1914 to 1926 and donated to the French nation before his death. Paris, France, September 20, 2007. Many thanks for your thoughtful comment, Jake, and so glad you could identify with the couple in my photo. They were totally absorbed in Monet's work and oblivious to the presence of other people in the gallery.
