Thank you very much for your gracious response, Peggy... and thanks also for sharing the memory of your grandfather and his forsythia plant. Glad you like the stone house too. I shot this image as much for the house as for the forsythia, I think.

What a welcome sight on this cold January day, Ann!! Outside my back door,and other spots around my yard, forsythia still bloom from cuttings taken in the mid-60s from my grandfather's plant. Grandpa died in 1969 but those blossoms always make me think of him. :-) The stone house in this picture is makes such a beautiful background texture for the bright yellow flowers.
