Description
Photographed on a cloudy, heavily overcast day, the Grand Traverse Lighthouse was built on the Leelanau Peninsula of Michigan in 1858 to mark the entrance into Grand Traverse Bay from Lake Michigan. An automatic light tower was erected in 1972. Since 1986 the historic lighthouse has served as a museum. Copyright 2013 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
