Description
Illustrating the poem Night Flight, copyright 1995 Ann Horn, is a photo called Overseas Flight, copyright 2014 Ann Horn. The biblical reference to the everlasting arms is drawn from the Old Testament (see Deuteronomy 33:25-27 and Jeremiah 31:3). My words were written on the first leg of a flight from Detroit to New Zealand, the photo taken on a return trip from London years later. The poem and image together are titled Night Flight, copyright 2016 Ann Horn. Thank you very much, Cheryl. The poem had its origin on a long overseas night flight from the west coast of the U.S. to Aukland, New Zealand.

Lovely image and poem, Ann. You can't help but think of the security of the everlasting arms when you are sitting in the clouds. So beautiful! l/f/tw
