Description
Built on the small hill of Chaillot on the right bank of the River Seine, Palais de Chaillot, also known as Trocadero, was built for the 1937 Paris International Exhibition. Its two wings curve toward the river. It now houses a maritime museum and a museum of architecture. Gardens and fountains add to its beauty. Directly across the river is the Eiffel Tower, from which this image was taken as I walked down the tower rather than ride the elevator... a trek I would highly recommend. Copyright 2007 Ann Horn. Thanks for your kind comment, Jim. Glad you like this view from mid-way down the Eiffel Tower.

Many thanks for your kind response, Aaron. This is one of the many views which can be seen while taking the stairs in the Eiffel Tower.
