Thanks, Patricia, for stimulating my thinking. I took a new look at Edward Hopper's 'Nighthawk.' It seems to me that a commonality in his work and in my image is that each person seems to be absorbed in their own world, interacting only minimally with those with whom they temporarily share space. Maybe a contemporary commentary?

This photo stuck with me. Ended up googling Edward Hopper's famous painting Nighthawks. At least in my mind, it strikes a similar chord.
