Description
The Venus de Milo is a popular attraction at the Louvre in Paris, France. The ancient Greek statue is thought to be the goddess Aphrodite of Milos, though may be the sea goddess Amphitrite. The marble statue was discovered in 1820 and dates back to around 100 B.C. Her arms have never been found. Copyright 2014 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
