Description
I took this geometric gem of a trash receptacle on the portico of a skyscraper just before a fall on its granite steps put an end to a wonderful day of wandering the streets of Chicago and sent me to the hospital in an ambulance. Only now, four months later, have I wanted to deal with the image, my broken wrist healed but still demanding lots of daily exercises to get it moving properly. Copyright 2012 Ann Horn. Really like this image Ann...Great in black and white. Keep on with the exercise ...it took me 6 months of 6 hours a day to regain full use of my hand after complications with a broken wrist.. but it is worth it and it does get better. l/f

You have such a good eye for beautiful lines and shapes around us, Ann. Cool shot!

I like the composition, the squares of the tiles and wall pattern contrasting with the shape and the circular holes of cylindrical trash container. vf.

Many thanks for your thoughtful response, Will. I am glad you like the image. As to the wrist, I am being diligent in doing the exercises as prescribed by the therapist, but improvement is slow going.
