Located on the shore of Lake Superior, Miner's Castle is one of the numerous rock formations in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, part of the United States National Park system, located in Munising, Michigan. It may be viewed from a boat or reached by car, followed by a short walk. The waves out on Lake Superior were 4 to 5 feet high the day I was there, so the boat trips all were cancelled. Instead, I drove to Miner's Castle and walked to this overlook to take my photos. There the water was quite quiet. Copyright 2017 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
