Description
Colchester is the oldest recorded town in Britain. Brick and tile from its Roman ruins were used by the Normans when building this castle keep between 1076 and 1125 on the foundations of a Roman temple. It now serves as a museum. Hi, Ann; I'm new to Fine Art America, so I'm not sure how to respond to comments. But thank you for your comment about my work yesterday. I've looked around at your images here, and you have some lovely ones. If you've been able to travel to all these places, you are a very lucky person. I myself long to take a trip someday to the British Isles. All the best, Jonathan Day
