Description
Framlingham Castle in Suffolk, England dates from the late 1100’s. The high curtain walls of flint once provided defense for domestic buildings within. Various other building materials were added in ensuing centuries. One of the thirteen brick chimneys constructed in the 15th century can be seen atop a tower in this photo.
