Description
Framlingham Castle in Suffolk, England dates from the late 12th century and consists of a high circular curtain wall and tall towers constructed of flint, which once provided defense for the domestic buildings inside the wall. The ornate brick Tudor chimneys were added later. A prison was outside of the wall and later a poorhouse within. Copyright 2014 Ann Horn. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
