Description
As it does everywhere, time looms large over Paris, where from behind a huge glass clock face in the Musee d'Orsay, the River Seine (bottom of clock), the Jarden des Tuileries, and buildings of the city may be seen. Thank you very much for your gracious response, Madeline. Glad you like the image. I continue to be fascinated by the three huge clocks in Musee d;Orsay, of which this is one. All are nearly identical.

Many thanks for your gracious comment, Allen. These large clocks in the Musee d'Orsay in Paris are some of my all-time favorite subjects.

Many thanks for your gracious comment, Patricia. I saw this on my first trip to Paris, sketched it and made notes about it in my journal, wrote a poem about it when I got home and called it "Time Study". On my second trip to Paris, by then with a digital camera, I took a series of 4 photos of which this is the only one I had not processed until today. The poem is in my artistwebsites blog accompanying another of the images, which is called Paris Time. All four of the photos are in my Time gallery on pixels.com.

Susan and Lianne, many thanks for your generous compliments about this enormous clock. It and its two counterparts, all in the Musee d'Orsay, are for me standouts among the many wonderful sights in Paris.
